OCTOBER, 2025

Greetings, Grizzly Families!

As we begin Quarter Three, I want to start by saying thank you. Thank you to our entire Millswood community — our incredible students, dedicated teachers, and supportive families — for making my first quarter as principal so welcoming and inspiring. Millswood truly is a special place.

We have plenty of data that shows why Millswood continues to stand out as one of the best schools around. But what truly sets us apart is the heart and commitment of our people — hardworking teachers who go above and beyond, and students who reflect that same excellence every day. This quarter, I’m proud to share that we have nearly 400 students who earned a 3.5 GPA or higher! That’s a direct reflection of the high expectations we live by: Be Safe. Be Respectful. Be Responsible.

Our students are proving that when we live by these values, great things happen.

Important Dates and Events — Quarter Two Highlights (I'm sure I missed something)

  • Monday, October 13 – First day of Quarter Two

  • Friday, October 17 – Student Honor Roll Celebration

  • Wednesday, October 22 – Minimum Day

  • Friday, December 12 – Movie Friday! (Millswood transforms into a movie theater!)

  • Friday, December 19 – Last Day of Quarter 2 / Minimum Day

As we move through this quarter, we’ll be focusing deeply on academic growth, particularly through our i-Ready ELA and Math Benchmark Assessments. These help us see how far our students have come and where we can continue to grow together.

There’s a lot to be proud of, and even more to look forward to. The energy, teamwork, and positivity that fill our campus every day make Millswood not just a great school — but a great community.

I can’t wait to see everyone back and ready to make Quarter Two our best one yet. Let’s continue to learn, grow, and lead together.

With Grizzly Pride,
Chris Harrold
